Oaks Scar Reservoir

Oaks Scar Reservoir is situated in Longwood. Fishing is from the central bridge only This water contains predominantly, Roach, Bream, Perch and Pike (to upper doubles with the odd Twenty+). Occasional Tench have also been caught here but they are extremely rare. There are no bait restrictions on this water, except during the period 15th March to 15th June inclusive, when live baiting is prohibited. The access to this reservoir is down a long steep hill and therefore not suitable for people with limited mobility. Day Tickets are available for this water

DIRECTIONS From Huddersfield take the A640 signposted Rochdale. At the first roundabout take the 2nd exit sign signposted Rochdale. At the second roundabout again take the 2nd exit, signposted Rochdale, continue for approx 2 mile and you will see a Total garage on your left. Take the first left after the Total garage (Raw Nook Road) At the T junction turn left down the hill, (Gilead Road) at the bottom of the hill (opposite the Dusty Miller Publc House) turn sharp right on to Lamb Hall Road. After approx half a mile there is a turning circle in front of some newer houses on your right, the footpath down to the Reservoir is approximately 100 metres  along the road on your left, down the snicket .POSTCODE (approx) HD3 3TJ
