AS PART OF THE CONTINUING INVESTIGATION IN TO THE APPARENT CRASH OF FISH STOCKS AT THIS VENUE, THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY ARE PLACING GILL NETS IN TO THE DAM ON TUESDAY 19TH JULY THE DAM WILL BE CLOSED TO FISHING ON THAT DAY This water is located in Holmfirth on the A6024 heading towards Holme. This water contains Bream, Carp, Roach, Tench, Perch and the occasional Trout. There are no bait restrictions on this water. There is no fishing from the farmers field. DirectionsFrom Huddersfield Take the A616 Woodhead Road to Holmfirth. Follow the A6024 towards Holmbridge. Approximately one mile from Holmbridge there is a garage on the right near Burnlee WMC, and the cattle market on the left. The entrance to the dam is just past this on the left between the electricity sub station and the row of houses. Park at the side of the road just past the houses, there is no parking down the lane.
