The Main Fishing Club Based In Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Slaithwaite & District Angling Club was established in 1884. They are Affiliated to the National Federation of Anglers,Yorkshire Fisheries Consultative Association and Anglers Co-operative Association.They are a well established club with over 300 members. 2010/2011 New membership prices added. The club are please to annouce that they now own the fishing rights to the whole length of canal from Lock 11 to Tunnel End. New Venue Added. The club would like to appeal to any member that witnessed the pollution incident on the River Colne March 2008.Did youtake any photos if so the club would appriciate it if you would make them available to the club.Also if anyone has any catch records of their sessions on the river before and after the pollution, these would be useful too. The club as organised a Work Party at Lockwood Dam on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th March (last weekend in march) 2010. The main aim is to remove what is left of the trees in the water.
