Square Dam Sunday 4th May 2008

Postby SADAC-admin on Sat Mar 29, 2008 9:17 pm

The club will be organising a work party for this venue on Sunday 4th May.

Start time will be 10am onwards.

If any members are willing to get invovled please put your name down here.

It is reccomened that members wear the appropiate gear as in wellington boots or waders, and
depending on weather, waterproofs.

It would also be helpful if members could also bring with them some form of tools,ie rakes, forks loppers, saws etc.

Come on guys lets all get invovled and make this dam into what is used to be like.
Thanks

I've got a plan for what we're going to do which I will bring on the day but this is a democratic club so if anyone has any suggestions feel free to have yor say. We don't need to be drastic but to free up some bank to fish and cast comfortably is the goal. We also need to remove some of the trees that are undermining the footpath wall and put back the edge stones. Hope to see plenty of you there.

I had a walk round on Saturday, and the trees on the footpath look as though they need cutting back.
I was thinking would'nt it be ideal to have a pontoon along the side of the footpath, so we could fish off that.
If this could happen we could hold matches on here, what does everyone else think.

Has everyone had the chance to see what the two men and a jcb did in October? It's worth a look! It's good. Regards Dave
